Types of Texts - Presentation

This presentation is a simple way to revise basic text types with Year 1 students. It explores the differences between fiction and non-fiction texts before introducing the concept of opinions. The presentation teaches students that texts can take many forms and serve different purposes. You can refer to this presentation any time you are looking at narratives, poetry, information reports, recounts, persuasive texts et cetera.

Whole class introduction to Text Types. Teachers can use any of the text type slides as a reference when teaching students to write a particular text type.
