Terrific Text Types - Quiz
This quiz allows students to revise and demonstrate their understanding of different text types – with the main focus being on differentiating between real and imagined; fiction and non-fiction.
Whole class quiz to informally assess or help students revise their knowledge. Use prior to the assessment sheet to see if any concepts need to be revised.
Learning goals
- We are learning to understand texts can be in many forms and that stories and informative texts have different purposes.
- We are learning to recognise the meaning of symbols in everyday situations, e.g. signs, logos, emoticons.
- We are learning to identify some differences between imaginative and informative texts, i.e. what is real or imaginary.
- We are learning to understand texts can be in many forms such as signs, books and digital texts.
- We are learning to identify some familiar texts and their purpose, such as symbols (exit signs, school crossings, badges), stories and informative texts.
