Labelling Diagrams

These worksheets introduce students to the Informative text feature of diagrams. Students will read the passage and then cut and paste the matching labels onto the diagram.

The text passage can be displayed on a classroom TV or IWB for the teacher to read through the information with the students. Discuss where the body parts might be located before students complete the activity independently.

Modifications

The bee sheet contains less information to read. Some students may benefit from working in a small guided group to discuss each of the labels.
 

Extensions

Use the frog or koala sheet or print out some pictures of animals you have been learning about for students to label independently.
