Fact, Fiction or Opinion Card Sort
These sorting cards give students a variety of scenarios to discuss and determine if they are fact, fiction or an opinion. The cards can be used as a fun, whole class warm-up activity or in small groups during rotations.
The main Fact, Fiction and Opinion title cards can be displayed in different corners of the room. The teacher can call out some of the scenarios and students move to the corner they choose once they decide it is fact, fiction or an opinion. This can be done as a warm-up activity when exploring Informative texts. Alternatively, students can work in small groups to discuss and sort the cards.
