This unit is based on the Year 1 Australian Curriculum HASS Inquiry Skills, Knowledge and Understandings for Geography. It explores the First Nation Australian’s Dreamtime beliefs on how the land was formed and changed, as well as looking at how places change over time due to environmental and human impact. Throughout the unit, students will also learn about local places and the people in charge of taking care of them as well as how they can help care for different places themselves.
