The Baker’s Dough Problem
This worksheet is part of a larger unit, ‘Counting Money and Counting Change’. The unit is great for practising the skill of counting money and counting change and provides opportunities to add and subtract dollars and cents with whole numbers and decimal numbers. The unit also includes numerous visual examples and opportunities to practise the skill, as well as worksheets to continue to practise and revise the concept of money.
Learning goals
- We are learning to recognise the relationships between dollars and cents and represent money values in different ways, e.g. calculating change in role-plays.
- We are learning to count the change required for simple transactions to the nearest five cents and represent money in multiple ways.
- We are learning to solve problems involving purchases and calculate change to the nearest 5 cents, using both mental strategies and digital tools.
