Making Change- Quiz
This quiz is fantastic for consolidating knowledge of calculating change. This can be used at the end of the unit plan to check student understanding prior to completing the assessment task. It could also be used as a warm-up to a lesson on calculating change.
Answers are revealed after each question, allowing for opportunities for whole class discussions.
Learning goals
- We are learning to count the change required for simple transactions to the nearest five cents and represent money in multiple ways.
- We are learning to recognise the relationships between dollars and cents and represent money values in different ways, e.g. calculating change in role-plays.
- We are learning to solve problems involving purchases and calculate change to the nearest 5 cents, using both mental strategies and digital tools.
