Voices from the Past
A set of differentiated worksheets exploring whose stories are heard in history, using real excerpts from Yahoo Creek: An Australian Mystery by Tohby Riddle. Students read authentic newspaper clippings and an Aboriginal Elderβs account, identify the speaker and beliefs and compare perspectives. Activities scaffold understanding of credibility, bias and historical viewpoint.
