Persuasive Power Check
These differentiated editing checklists support students in revising persuasive writing with a focus on clarity, coherence and persuasive impact. Aligned to the ACARA and NSW English curriculum, the checklists guide students in self-editing and peer-reviewing using accessible, age-appropriate language. Year 3β4 students follow the Hamburger model, while Year 5β6 students work with PEEL or extended persuasive paragraphs. Each checklist targets opinion clarity, evidence use, sentence fluency, cohesion, grammar and persuasive tone.
