PEEL-ing Apart Arguments
This worksheet introduces students to the PEEL structure for persuasive writing. Students read and label the parts of a strong persuasive paragraph about the Hairy Man, including Point, Evidence, Explain and Link. They compare a strong example with a weak example to understand what makes arguments convincing. The activity develops skills in planning, analysing and constructing structured persuasive texts. A modelled response is included to support teacher modelling and student understanding.
