This simple worksheet will give your students the chance to practise the skill of looking at the final sound in words and producing words that rhyme.

  • We are learning to listen to, discuss and explore sound patterns, e.g. alliteration and rhyme, in poems, chants, rhymes and songs.
  • We are learning to identify patterns of repetition in texts and to identify rhyme in poems, chants and songs.
  • We are learning to understand patterns of repetition and contrast in simple texts.
  • We are learning to recite and perform poems, chants, rhymes and songs and explore sound patterns, e.g. alliteration, rhyme.
