Class Game - Rhyming Words
A really fun whole class game, which includes 31 student cards and 1 teacher's starter card. Once confident, students can race the clock and strive to beat their best time. As an added benefit, these games are great for encouraging teamwork.
This is a great game to play regularly as a whole class, either as an English warm-up or as a revision/extension of student’s knowledge.
Learning goals
- We are learning to listen for rhyme, letter patterns, syllables and sounds in words.
- We are learning to use sounds in spoken words, adding, deleting and subtracting initial, medial and final sounds to build new words.
