My Favourite Animal Research Project

My Favourite Animal Research Project

Embark on the journey of reading and discovering non-fiction texts with this animal research project. Students choose their very own favourite animal to research and answer age-appropriate question to record some information. Students will get to discover the joy and wonder of reading non-fiction texts with this activity.

We suggest this activity be complete with the aide of an assistant or parent helper.

  • We are learning to construct texts using software including word processing programs, e.g. MS Word.
  • We are learning to identify some familiar texts and their purpose, such as symbols (exit signs, school crossings, badges), stories and informative texts.
