Multiple Mayhem
Designed as a simple game for the Multiples and Factors Unit Plan, Multiple Mayhem requires no preparation!
Students simply roll two dice and multiply the numbers to find and cover the answer on the board. Play continues until 4 in a row are found by one of the players!
This game has 3 levels for easy differentiation. It can also be easily modified for extension or support by changing the duration of time played or the amount they need to find in a row.
This resource has been created in colour, as well as black and white for easy printing.
Learning goals
- We are learning to express numbers as products of their factors, identify multiples and apply divisibility rules to large numbers.
- We are learning to create and use algorithms using multiple steps to experiment with factors, multiples and divisibility and identify and describe emerging patterns.
- We are learning to identify and describe factors and multiples of whole numbers and use them to solve problems.
