Monster Multiples

Monster Multiples

These fun and engaging worksheets ask students to find and colour multiples of the given numbers. They could be used as an explicit teaching activity, independent activity, during numeracy rotations or as a guided numeracy group. They have been created as part of the Multiples and Factors Unit Plan for Year 5.

Learning goals

  • We are learning to identify, describe and create number patterns and use addition and multiplication to identify the rule.
  • We are learning to investigate number sequences involving multiples of 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
  • We are learning to express numbers as products of their factors, identify multiples and apply divisibility rules to large numbers.
  • We are learning to create and use algorithms using multiple steps to experiment with factors, multiples and divisibility and identify and describe emerging patterns.
  • We are learning to identify and describe factors and multiples of whole numbers and use them to solve problems.
