This unit is based on the Year 2 Australian Curriculum HASS Inquiry Skills, Knowledge and Understandings. In this unit, students will investigate the technologies used by their local First Nations Australians. They will then explore how the developments of technologies has changed the way people live at home, work, travel and communicate. Finally, they will discover the effects of these changes to interconnections with other places in the world.

To understand that technology has made people’s lives at home and in the workplace easier and more productive.

Transport Over Time
We will understand changes have occurred in transport over time.
Lesson 5
Change in Communication
To understand that developments in technology have changed the way we communicate with one another.

Questions About the Past
To learn to ask questions that help us understand more about the past.

Then and Now
Today we will demonstrate what we understand about the developments of technology over time and how technology has changed the way people live at home, work, travel and communicate.
