Time Machine - Elapsed Time Introduction
Designed as an introduction to elapsed time, students will determine the arrival time from a given departure time.
Learning goals
- We are learning to use βamβ and βpmβ notation and solve simple time problems including duration and converting between units of time e.g. 60 mins = 1 hour.
- We are learning to use βamβ and βpmβ notation and solve simple time problems, e.g. calculating time spent at school, time spent travelling between two locations, determining arrival time with given departure time.
- We are learning to estimate and compare the duration of events using days, hours, minutes and seconds.

Modifications
Ensure your students can read the time on an analogue clock before they begin playing this game. A simple way to do this is to play one of the I have... Who Has... class loop games on time to the half-hour and quarter-hour.
