Shipwrecked Syllables

These fun and engaging boardgames are a great way for students to practise identifying and spelling multisyllabic words. The game includes two versions.

In Version A, students work their way around the gameboard, reading and identifying how many syllables are contained in the words. The first player to make it to the mainland wins.

In Version B, students work their way around the gameboard using learnt spelling strategies to segment and spell the word correctly. The first player to make it to the mainland wins!

An answer sheet has been included for your convenience.

This resource is part of a larger unit of work for Year 3- Multisyllabic Words.
