Syllable Puzzles

The syllable puzzles are a simple activity for students to complete. It's an activity that allows you to differentiate to your students' needs, by simply remove puzzle pieces or limiting the sort to fewer syllables. To extend students, simply cut the horizontal dotted line, requiring students to match the word to the picture as well as identifying the number of syllables in the word.

You can use this activity as a form of assessment, by requiring students to complete the task alone. Place the student's name card alongside completed puzzles and take a photograph of the finished work.
