Purr-fect Patterns! - Assessment

A simple assessment tool where students demonstrate their learning from the Making Patterns Unit. Students are required to complete patterns as well as create patterns using different basic pattern cores.

Use at the conclusion of the Making Patterns Unit to assess student understanding of concepts covered throughout the unit.

Learning goals

  • We are learning to recognise, copy and describe repeating patterns in different ways.
  • We are learning to identify and describe the repeating unit in a pattern with numbers, symbols, shapes and objects.
  • We are learning to classify objects and copy, continue and create patterns.
  • We are learning to follow a short sequence of instructions and recognize, copy, continue, and create repeating patterns in different ways.
