Probability Quiz
This quiz resource includes 10 questions testing Year 6 students' understanding of probability and repeated chance experiments. It covers multiple-choice, true/false and short-answer questions on outcomes, relative frequency and using digital tools for simulations. Answers are provided, making it an ideal assessment tool for gauging studentsβ grasp of key concepts in probability.
Students can use their workbooks/ or small whiteboards and markers to complete this activity.
Learning goals
- We are learning to conduct chance experiments with an increasing number of trials and compare the relative frequency of an outcome.
- We are learning to conduct chance experiments with both small and large numbers of trials.
- We are learning to compare frequencies (likely outcomes) across experiments and to unexpected results.
Curriculum alignment
describe probabilities using fractions, decimals and percentages; recognise that probabilities lie on numerical scales of 0ββ1 or 0%β100%; use estimation to assign probabilities that events occur in a given context, using common fractions, percentages and decimals
