Place Value 10 000 and Beyond - Presentation

This presentation has been designed to explore, recognise, represent and order numbers up to tens of thousands and beyond. The presentation runs through the concept of place value, the role of zero, expanding notation and ordering numbers in ascending and descending order. A great presentation sure to support your students understanding of the number system.

Learning goals

We are learning to recognise, model, represent and order numbers to at least 10 000.
We are learning to partition, rearrange and regroup numbers to 10 000 using place value groupings.
We are learning to add and subtract two-and three-digit numbers using place value groupings.
