Place Value Match Game - Three Digit Numbers
A challenging but fun place value matching game, that your students will love to play. In this game, students will match three-digit numbers to their place value, expressed in written, expanded and MAB block forms. There is also an added challenge element of using counting, addition and subtraction skills to match the written form to some numbers.
E.g: “100 less than 890” Students would have to firstly complete the subtraction to match the number 790.
Perfect for fast finishers and small group work. This could be a great extension activity for students who are already confident with their place value skills.

Learning goals
- We are learning to show that two- and three-digit numbers can be partitioned and re-named in different ways, such as partitioning three-digit numbers into hundreds, tens and ones.
