My Feelings and Emotions Assessment
This assessment can be to assess your students’ ability to identify their own feelings, how others are feeling by using facial expressions as well as categorizing emotions into the Zones of Regulation.
There are 2 options available – one with the Zones of Regulation language and one without.
Learning goals
- We are learning to recognise the impact that facial expressions and gestures have when asking for and providing information, making offers, exclaiming, requesting and giving commands.
- We are learning to explore different ways of expressing emotions.
- We are learning to identify and practise emotional responses.

Australian Curriculum covers QLD / SA / WA / NT / TAS / ACT.
Differentiation
Modifications
Some students may require assistance to read the scenarios and feeling words. Some students may only draw and have a teacher scribe their thoughts for them.
Extensions
Encourage students to write about their feelings.
