Fraction Flower Patch
In 'Fraction Flower Patch', students match visual representations, symbols and written fractions to one-eighth. This game has been designed to allow you to take photographs of completed work as part of a record of assessment.
Learning goals
- We are learning to recognise halves, quarters and eighths of an object and to understand that a group of objects can be separated to show halves, quarters and eighths of the group.
- We are learning to recognise halves, quarters and eighths of a whole and connect halves, quarters and eighths through repeated halving.
- We are learning to use halves, quarters and eighths in relation to shapes, objects and events in everyday situations, e.g. cutting a pizza, cup and spoon measures.
