Division Tic Tac Toe
Turn practising division into a competitive game with this Tic Tac Toe-style maths activity! Students take turns solving division problems to claim a square on the board — first to get three in a row wins. This game helps reinforce recall of basic division facts and supports the development of mental strategies in a fun, hands-on format.

Learning goals
- We are learning to add and subtract one- and two-digit numbers, using a variety of strategies, e.g. partitioning, doubles, near doubles, bridging to 10 and rearranging and regrouping of numbers.
- We are learning to multiply and divide one- and two-digit numbers in word problems using a variety of strategies.
- We are learning to solve problems by using number sentences for addition or subtraction.
- We are learning to recall multiplication facts of two, three, five and ten and related division facts.

Differentiation
Modifications
• Use boards with simpler facts for students still building division confidence.
