This worksheets guides students through using the inverse strategy when subtracting 2-digit numbers. Students are required to count on from the number being subtracted and record their thinking to find the subtraction answer. 

This is one of 6 strategies included in the Mental Subtraction Strategies Unit for Year 2. The worksheet could be used as an explicit teaching activity, independent activity, during maths rotations or a guided maths group.
