Blending and Segmenting Screening Tool
This formative assessment can be used to check for student understanding of phonemic awareness. Students are required to recognise that letters and digraphs can make different sounds, use decoding and blending strategies to read words aloud, as well as break words up according to their phonemes. This resource is part of a larger unit of work on Blending and Segmenting- Year 3.
