Be a Blending Boss - Year 3
This series of worksheets encourages students to decode and blend a series of words, where two sounds are made by the same letter representation. Each worksheet focuses on a specific digraph or vowel sound and asks students to read the words as fast as they can. The worksheet is designed to be revisited, with students increasing their fluency and time in subsequent reads.
Teachers can use the sheets as a formative assessment tool, to send home as revision or to identify areas of need in students' phonological awareness. This resource is part of a larger unit of work on Blending and Segmenting- Year 3.
