Blend and Blast Off!
This simple worksheet is a terrific introduction to the skill of blending. Students use the sound button visuals to identify and tap each phoneme before blending the word. They will then demonstrate their comprehension of the word by drawing a matching picture. This worksheet is part of our Blending Blitz unit.
Encourage students to segment each sound as they sound the words out before matching the pictures.

- We are learning to use vowel sounds, consonant blends and digraphs when writing and reading one- and two-syllable words.
- We are learning to use vowel sounds, consonant digraphs and blends when writing and reading single syllable words.
