Word Problems with Extra Information
In this worksheet, students are confronted with word problems that have unnecessary pieces of information in them. To correctly solve them, they will have to spend some time evaluating the problems and which pieces are needed to solve them.
This worksheet is a part of a larger unit designed to show year students another method of systematically solving word problems and allow them to practice a range of strategies to solve problems of varying complexity.
