This resource has been created as a way of introducing and exploring the strategies used to solve addition and subtraction word problems. Once created, students can glue into their workbooks or keep loose as a handy reference tool. This resource is part of the Addition and Subtraction Word Problems- Year 2.

Learning goals
- We are learning to solve problems by using number sentences for addition or subtraction.
- We are learning to add and subtract one- and two-digit numbers, using a variety of strategies, e.g. partitioning, doubles, near doubles, bridging to 10 and rearranging and regrouping of numbers.
