Solve It! Addition and Subtraction
This fun and engaging game is a great way for students to practise recognising the language used in addition and subtraction word problems.
Students work their way around the board, reading the interesting number stories to then write matching number sentences for, before solving.

Learning goals
- We are learning to solve problems by using number sentences for addition or subtraction.
- We are learning to add and subtract one- and two-digit numbers, using a variety of strategies, e.g. partitioning, doubles, near doubles, bridging to 10 and rearranging and regrouping of numbers.
