Problem Solving with Money- Quiz

This quiz is an excellent way for students to revise mathematical modelling when problem solving with money. The quiz contains 10 questions, with an answer after each, allowing for class discussions. This resource is part of a larger unit of work on Problem Solving with Money- Year 2.

Formative assessment.

  • We are learning to solve problems involving modelling addition, subtraction, equal sharing and grouping, using different strategies.
  • We are learning to use a range of mental and written strategies to solve simple addition and subtraction problems.
  • We are learning to recognise and represent multiplication as repeated addition, groups and arrays.
  • We are learning to count and order small collections of Australian coins and notes according to their value.
