Mixing Materials - Presentation
In this presentation, students learn why designers and engineers often mix materials. Like a superhero team, a mix of materials allows the strengths of different materials to work together for a common purpose, while helping to cover for any one material’s weakness. Students look at both familiar and unfamiliar examples, including looking in-depth at how pencils are made.
