Learning goals

  • We are learning to recognise characteristics of different types of texts, e.g. traditional beginnings and endings of fairy tales and rhyme in poetry.
  • We are learning to identify some features of texts including events and characters and retell events from a text.
  • We are learning to describe daily and seasonal changes and how they affect everyday life.
  • We are learning to understand how places change and how they can be cared for by different groups.
  • We are learning to understand the weather and seasons of places and the ways in which different cultural groups, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, describe them.
  • We are learning to recognise natural, managed and constructed features of places, their location, how they change and how they can be cared for.
