Creating Pictographs

Creating Pictographs is a complete solution to exploring this concept with your class. The included worksheets are differentiated and have varied content to suit all students. This flexible resource can be used to accompany the Digital Pictographs Presentation, where the teacher models and graphs the data and students then translate it across to their own worksheets.

Alternatively, use these worksheets on their own as a general data collection and graphing exercise. Students find out the favourite fruits, colours and pets in their class then cut and paste the data on their pictographs.

The final page contains a range of questions to answer about the completed pictographs as well as a tally chart for students to translate their data into.

Use as a standalone activity or as a modelled accompaniment to the ‘Digital Pictographs’ Presentation.
