Crazy About Capacity
This worksheet looks at metric units of weight for capacity- the litre and mililitre. Students are introduced to everyday objects with common capacities, which they then use to identify the capacity of various objects. Students then explore containers that have a capacity of more and less than 1L.

Learning goals
- We are learning to measure and compare objects and events using length, mass and capacity and use instruments with labelled markings, e.g. measuring tape, ruler.
- We are learning to identify which metric units are used to measure items and to make estimates using known units.
- We are learning to measure, order and compare objects using standard metric units of length, mass and capacity.
