Continents of the World Labelling Worksheet
This simple cut and paste worksheet can be used to assist your students with demonstrating their understanding of the location of the 7 different continents in the world. There are 3 different options to support differentiation in your classroom.
Learning goals
- We are learning to understand the way the world is represented in geographic divisions and the location of Australia in relation to these divisions.
- We are learning to understand that places are parts of Earth’s surface that have been named by people, and how places can be described as personal, local, regional and national.
- We are learning to understand connections of people in Australia to people in other places in Australia and across the world.
- We are learning to understand why people choose to visit places, e.g. accessibility, transport, technology and distance, and the reason for visiting, e.g. shopping, recreation, sport, family.

Modifications
Use the intervention option, marked with 1 star, where the states are already labelled. Students simply need to cut, paste and match the labels.
Extensions
Use the extension option, marked with 3 stars where students will label the states without any prompting.
