Addition and Subtraction Stories - Presentation
This presentation is an excellent way to introduce the concept of real-life maths using basic addition and subtraction stories. Students will use their own counters to model each problem and learn the concepts of adding and subtraction using everyday problems.
- Whole class introduction to the unit.
- Provide students with counters (preferably in 2 different colours) to assist them with modelling the example stories.
- Explanations within the presentation match the explanations on the Addition and Subtraction Whole Class Display Posters.
