What are the Different Features of Places? - Assessment Rubric
This assessment rubric has been designed to be used alongside the assessment sheets provided in the What are the Different Features of Places unit. There are 3 levels to select from, from each expectation within the code. There is also a notes section to record any additional teacher notes and observations.
Complete the first 2 rows after the Playground Designer assessment task and the final row after the school mapping task or simply use based on your observations throughout the unit.
Learning goals
- We are learning to recognise natural, managed and constructed features of places, their location, how they change and how they can be cared for.
- We are learning to identify activities in our local place on a map, e.g. medical, police, waste management, and suggesting the reasons for their location.
Curriculum alignment
Australian Curriculum covers QLD / SA / WA / NT / TAS / ACT.
