The First Boomerang - Simple and Complex Sentence Sorting

The First Boomerang - Simple and Complex Sentence Sorting

The Simple and Complex Sentence Sorting activity helps students develop sentence-level grammar awareness using content from the Dreamtime story The First Boomerang. Students read 50 themed sentences and sort them into simple (one idea) or complex (one main idea + one or more dependent clauses) categories.

This hands-on resource is ideal for grammar, sentence structure, and reading comprehension lessons, all while reinforcing knowledge of the story's characters, setting, and themes.
