Technologies Unit: Exploring Our Digital World
This Foundation-level unit introduces students to basic digital technologies concepts through a series of age-appropriate, hands-on and visual activities. The unit explores the difference between hardware and software, symbol systems, data representation, and online safety.
Includes:
- Hardware vs Software sort and drawing activity
- Symbol matching, colour block data activity, and personalised symbol drawings
- Personal vs Public Data sorting task
- Online safety activities (What is safe to share? Drawing task)
- Final assessment on digital safety and data types
