A formative assessment tool to assess where students are when working on the vertical written subtraction strategy involving regrouping. The assessment asks students to complete a series of problems involving basic subtraction, subtraction with regrouping, multiple regrouping, and regrouping when numbers contain zeros. This resource is part of a larger unit of work on Subtraction with Regrouping- Year 3.
