Strategy Board - Lvl 2 (Split Strategy, Place Value, 10-Frames)

This set of strategy boards includes addition of 2-digit numbers. Students must represent the numbers in 10-frames, place value and use the split strategy on the number line to perform the operation.

Learning goals

  • We are learning to solve problems involving modelling addition, subtraction, equal sharing and grouping, using different strategies.
  • We are learning to recall addition facts to 20 and apply to related subtraction facts using a range of strategies.
  • We are learning to use a range of mental and written strategies to solve simple addition and subtraction problems.
  • We are learning to add and subtract two-and three-digit numbers using place value groupings.
