Skip Counting Match - Board Game
Skip Counting Match is a bright and interactive board game that supports Year 1 students in developing their number pattern knowledge through skip counting. Players roll the die and move along spaces showing skip counting patterns (e.g. 2, 4, ?), then place a counter on the correct number that completes the pattern in the centre grid. Skip counting patterns include counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s from zero, with a few challenge patterns included for differentiation. A perfect tool for numeracy rotations and fluency practice.
Learning goals
- We are learning to count collections of items (e.g. coins) and skip count by 5s or 10s to record how many in the collection.
- We are learning to count collections to 100 using place value groupings.
- We are learning to count in ones, twos, fives and tens, to and from 100.
