Roll and Represent
Students roll a dice five times to create a random 5-digit number, then explore it through multiple place value representations. From recording in digit houses to writing it in words, expanded form, and non-standard partitioning, students build a deep understanding of number structure. Additional tasks include plotting on a number line, representing on an abacus, and exploring number manipulation through simple addition and subtraction. A versatile and engaging way to consolidate place value knowledge.
