Problem Solving Steps - Presentation
This comprehensive problem-solving presentation has been adapted from Newman’s Analysis problem solving concept. ‘Read, Mean, Do, Maths, Answer’ supports students to methodically problem solve through a five-step process. The presentation explains this concept through a detailed example. In addition are included strategies to support problem solving, a problem-solving mat and 10 questions with answers, that explain how to use these steps when answering problem solving questions. While the unit is predominantly aimed at Year 3, this presentation can be used through the upper grades to support them when problem solving.
