Learning goals

  • We are learning to understand the way the world is represented in geographic divisions and the location of Australia in relation to these divisions.
  • We are learning to understand that places are parts of Earthโ€™s surface that have been named by people, and how places can be described as personal, local, regional and national.
  • We are learning to understand connections of people in Australia to people in other places in Australia and across the world.
  • We are learning to understand why people choose to visit places, e.g. accessibility, transport, technology and distance, and the reason for visiting, e.g. shopping, recreation, sport, family.
