Maths Unit: Comparing Numbers to 20
This wonderful unit focused on comparing numbers to 20 features a wide range of activities to introduce students to the concept of counting to quantify collections, and comparing collections using reasoning.
Students will learn how to use basic comparative language to compare collections.
Learning goals
- We are learning to compare and order numbers to 20 using words such as ‘more’, ‘less’, ‘same’ or ‘first’, ‘second’, ‘third’.
- We are learning to count collections to 20 and explain our reasons.
